LPO's Point System

The Lambda Phi Omega Points System is designed to strengthen our community standing, school spirit, and sisterly bond. All Active and Pledge Members must abide by the rules set forth by the Lambda Phi Omega Points System.

Points will be awarded by the following criteria:

  1. All Regular Meetings attended.
  2. Lambda Phi Omega community service.
  3. Lambda Phi Omega social activities (as specified by Executive Board).
  4. Attending Wayne State College sponsored activities (limited).
  5. Participation in a Lambda Phi Omega committee.
  6. Attendance at Lambda Phi Omega rush activities (Pledges excluded).
  7. Attendance at Greek council meetings and activates.
  8. Attendance at Pledge Class.
  9. Attendance at GAMMA meetings and activities.
  10. Participation in a study table (limited).
  11. Any other points at the decision of Head Points Officers.

Bonus Points

  1. Elected Officer or Committee Head.
  2. Having a job while in school.
  3. Payment of all bills by their deadline.
  4. Semester GPA of 3.5 or above.
  5. Participation in other organizations.
  6. Participation in intramural sports.
  7. Participation above and beyond the expected (Honor Points).
  8. Elected Officers for another organization.

Points are subject to change at discretion of the Points System Officer and Executive Board.

Each Active member is allowed one excused absence from regular meetings without consideration from the Executive Board. Excused absence will receive no points. To excuse an absence the member must notify a Points System Officer or an Executive Board Members before or within 24 hours or the missed event. Excused absences include illness, mandatory class activities, death in the family, and contingent circumstances left to the discretion of the Executive Board. Unexcused absences will result in loss of three points. Showing up late to a regular meeting will result in ½ a point loss.
