The purpose of Lambda Phi Omega is to encourage leadership and friendship on the college campus and to offer help to the community of Wayne, Nebraska. The women of Lambda Phi Omega will form lasting friendships and group values through teamwork and socialization.

 

Our Pledge to the Wayne State College Campus

Lambda Phi Omega was formed with the purpose of encouraging women to take up leadership roles on the Wayne State College Campus. We will try to help incoming freshmen and transfer students feel welcome. This will be achieved by getting them involved in both on and off campus activities. We also hope to gain a higher membership from the women already on campus and in this way build new and lasting friendships. Lambda Phi Omega would also like to improve the relationship between the campus and the community. This would be accomplished by doing numerous community service activities. Lambda Phi Omega would set high academic standards for its pledges and active members. We will promote the Greek system on campus and provide more competition from within. The formation of Lambda Phi Omega will also allow students a greater freedom of choice between activities on our campus. We feel that the formation of this sorority will be beneficial for all those concerned, the students, the faculty, and the community. Lambda Phi Omega will strive to maintain a reputable image and a high level of respect in the eyes of the campus and community.
