We voted on a number of ideas for the Haunted House rooms. The ideas that won were: Morgue, Evil German doctor, Phobias, Torture Room, Glasgow Smile, Alice in Wonderland Horror, and The Grimm Brothers Fairy Tales

 

Guests of Honor for WillyCon XIV will be (Author TBA...), Patrick Kennedy (Artist), and Fran McGarry (Fan). Our alum (alumni, alumnus?) will be Dane and Christy Jessen!

 

The short story contest associated with WillyCon is open for 2012...spread the word!

SF & F Club: Projects We Do...

 

We do a variety of things. The ones that take up the majority of our time are the annual Haunted House and WillyCon. Besides these two main projects, we also:

  • Go to other SF & F Conventions to have fun and steal ideas for WillyCon...

  • Go to dinner together at some of the eating establishments that have great deals...

  • Watch rented movies at the college or at a member's place after some of our meetings...

  • See who can be the most annoying and quote the most arcane movie lines at meetings...

  • Game (a lot!)...

  • Hold "All Campus Game Days" in the fall and spring...

  • Have a "Club Movie Night" every so often and go to the local theater...

  • Paint Ball now and again...

  • Other things that strike our fancy - if you have more ideas, join the club!
