Why should I donate to WillyCon's E-Zine?

 

This zine is free for everyone and you are more than welcome to enjoy the stories and poetry, whether you choose to donate or not. However, if you appreciate what we do and would like to support us and aspiring authors/poets, your donation – of whatever amount you choose – would be really helpful and very much appreciated!

 

This E-Zine is not open to random submisions - it is a means to recognize and publish those chosen as the winners in the short story/poetry contest held each year in conjunction with our annual WillyCon Sci Fi/Fantasy Convention. Currently winners receive cash prizes only when our budget allows, but they will always be published. Beginning with our 2007 convention, this has gone from being published in our program book to this online format.

 

All funds donated by WillyCon's E-Zine readers will be used to promote the WillyCon short story/poetry contest so that we can continue to find and attract the best aspiring amateur writers on the Internet. Money donated will also go toward developing cash prizes for the contest winners on a regular basis, not just when we can afford it.
