Circus Delight

Caravans burst down Main Street

Causing the alleys to rise to their feet

Crashing cymbals and the marching band

Lookin’ awfully large as I held Papa’s hand

We shouted and jumped right into the air

As ballerinas arrived, streamers in hair

What a happy scene as the circus came about

So many performers I couldn't’t count

The crowd moved as one, following the fleet

We had to be careful when picking a seat

I chose one up front in the first row

The ringmaster entered and wanted us to know,

“We a pleased to have you’re here, what a good cheer!

With all of your friends and family so near!

Of course you must know who we all are;

We are a circus that comes from a far!”
