MISSION STATEMENT:

The purpose of the Wayne State College Mentoring Program is to welcome new employees to the college community. The Mentoring Program will provide the structure to foster one-to-one relationships between new staff and current staff with the experienced staff mentor guiding and serving as a resource to the new staff mentee.

 

GOALS:

1. Coordinate the Mentoring Program goals with the Wayne State College mission statement and AQIP goals.
   
2. Establish a mentoring program at WSC for each staff group: faculty, professional staff and support staff.
   
3. Establish the mentoring program under the auspices of the HumanResources Office as soon as possible.
   
4. Conduct evaluations of the mentoring program and adjust the program to address unmet employee needs and concerns.
