Events - 2008 Annual Recognition Lunch

Wayne State College professional staff were honored for years of service during a brunch on August 7, 2008 in the Student Center on campus. A welcome was given by Dr. Richard Collings, WSC president. Cap Peterson of Wayne was the keynote speaker. Professional staff honored for years of service included:

30 years: Kyle Rose and Barbara Meyer
25 years: Marilyn Quance
20 years: Kathy Janke, Marcus Schlichter and Dorothy Weber
15 years: Jason Barelman, John Dunning and Ruth Smith
10 years: Deborah Lundahl
5 years: Jana Burns, Scott Kneifl, Nick Muir, Melissa Derechailo, Matthew Murken and Kaye Young

New professional staff members were recognized who have been hired at WSC in the past year. They included Tricia Akerlund, marketing coordinator; Chad Altwine, director of facility services; Amy Carpenter, admissions specialist; Makayla Dostal, admissions specialist; Kim Edwards, assistant volleyball coach; Mark Haddinger, admissions specialist; Chris Kielsmeier, head women's basketball coach; Valerie Knight, reference librarian instructor and distance education; Muffin Morris, interim head athletic trainer; Rose Rieger, assistant athletic trainer; Wyatt Rosebrock, program analyst; Donovan Roy, director minority affairs; Alex Smith, reference librarian, electronic services; and Teresa Tiedtke, assistant student center manager; Brady Willhite, admissions specialist; and Alex Wood, assistant football coach.
