Agenda Items:
Lin submitted a Wildcat Well Done Award to the Board and the Board was pleased.
The General Education Committee chaired by Marian Borgmann-Ingwersen has approached Lin regarding thoughts and input from the Professional Staff Senate to the General Education Committee. The issues discussed were required hours, transfer hours, student opinions, and the broad spectrum of relativity between general education courses and professional staff. Lin will forward the Senates concerns and ask for feedback on how we should follow up with our concerns and input.
The Presidential search committee has narrowed the search to 15 or 16 candidates. They are hoping to bring the final selection to campus by January.
Ruth gave an update on the HR candidate search. The candidate pool started with around 80 applicants. They were initially narrowed to 60, then again narrowed to 7. Reference checks were done on 7 candidates. Phone interviews were then done with 6 candidates. They hope to bring 3 to campus by late November/early December.
The next regular meeting will be December 5th.
Meeting adjourned at 10:20.
Respectfully submitted,
Cheri Polenske, secretary
