Regular Meeting – September 5, 2003

Lin called the meeting to order @ 9:35 a.m., a quorum was present.

Minutes of the Annual and August meetings were approved. M-Spethman S-Gardner

Treasurer’s Report: No report

Committee Reports:

Mentoring – waiting for the HR position to be filled
Social – PS Potluck will be held September 12, 2003
Recognition – new member – Kathy Mohlfeld
Continuing Education – Working on a November program – History of WSC
Membership – No report
Hospitality – 29 of 88 paid for Courtesy Club - $163.24 in the account. Cards to Roger Hochstein (death of father) and Marilyn Liedorff (surgery).
Policy – No report
Communications – new member – Vickie Burmood

Agenda Items:

Well Done Award – Discussion was held on the award proposal. Talked about how we could create a form and have it available on the G drive. Lin will work with Kevin Halle and bring a more formal proposal to next month’s meeting.

WSC Yearbook – Stan circulated a Release of Information Form for the electronic college yearbook. He also discussed the current process and reasons why the yearbook is necessary and what his intentions are. Stan will create a new release form for faculty and staff members.

HR Search Committee – Ruth was nominated to serve on the committee.

Other – Lin will contact John Dunning to keep us informed on the progress of the Presidential Search Committee.

Lin will also contact the Faculty and Support Staff Senates for meeting representatives.

The next regular meeting will be Friday, October 3, in the Multicultural Center @ 9:30 a.m.
