Meeting Minutes
4/1/05
Present: Lin Brummels, Eddie Elfers, Dave Graber, Cheri Polenske, Oliver Twelvetrees, Dorothy Weber
Absent: Derek Anderson, Brandon Eckmann
Other professional staff: Beverly Buhrman, Clarissa Kaiser
The meeting was called to order at 11:10, a quorum was present.
The March minutes were approved.
Committee Reports:

Mentoring: No report.

Social: No Report

Recognition: No report.

Continuing Education: Dave reported that Kent Blaser presented a program on the history of WSC. About 20 people attended.

Membership: No report.

Hospitality: The hospitality fund has a balance of $205.26. Dorothy sent out many cards for various occasions.

Policy: A slight change was made to the travel/mileage reporting procedures.
Communication: Eddie continues to forward email notifications to the membership.
Results from the faculty/staff campus survey are available on the WSC website under AQIP.
The Non-Discrimination Policy Review Committee has drafted some changes to make the policy more inclusive. The changes were discussed and voted on. Eddie-Motion Dave-Second. Motion carried to approve the changes.
A discussion was held regarding the searches for the VPAA and the Dean of Education.
The WSC Foundation has approved funds for the grants for Professional Development and reports will be submitted on how the grants facilitated the improvements.
Meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be May 6th, 2005 at 11:00 in the Bluestem Room.
