Meeting Minutes
December 7th, 2005

Call to order:

Dave Graber, Senate President called to order the regular meeting of the WSC Professional Staff Senate at 9:05 AM on December 7th, 2005

Attendance:

The following Senators were present: Dave Graber, Tammy Tyson, Derek Anderson,
Absent: Kevin Halle, Brandon Eckman, Eddie Elfers, Lin Brummels
Guest: Vice President Carolyn Murphy

Approval of minutes from last meeting

The minutes from the November meeting were not sent out and the approval was tabled until the January meeting accordingly.

Committee Reports:

Mentoring: No Report
Social: No Report
Recognition: Date Set
Continuing Ed: No Report
Membership: No Report
Hospitality: $266.84 – cards sent to Lyle Seymour family and Terra Jackson
Policy: Two candidates, for Business Manager candidate in Athletic Department
Communication: No report

New business:

Tammy Tyson will purchase something from the Christmas Tree and will spend around $20 for a family.
Voting started on the General Education requirements-the vote is between two plans, new plan to be implemented in 2007-2008
Wildcat Physical Therapy will open Friday December 9th.
Campus Smoking Policy- State law says no smoking within 10 ft of an entrance to each building. Campus will look at moving the ash containers to see if that will assist in helping people move away from entrances. Some advertising may be necessary to get the word out about policy.
