Guest: Dr. Collings addressed the issue of communication across campus. He gave an overview of Senates at other institutions. Some concern was expressed that information about WSC was not reaching beyond the vice presidential group. Dr. Collings discussed the possibility of arranging a meeting of the officers of all the Senates to meet once or twice a semester to consider common issues. Dr. Collings volunteered to remind Vice Presidents to forward information on to staff and faculty in each area. Dr. Collings is working to find ways to consider the unintended consequences of issues. The Professional Staff Senate would like to recommend that the minutes of VP meetings, Academic Council and President’s Council be send by e-mail to all staff. The Campus Bulletin Board does not always have the most recent minutes and is difficult for some to access.
