New Brochures: Professional Staff Senate and Mentoring Program: Lin Brummels has created two new brochures. The first details the purpose, duties, and makeup of the Professional Staff Senate. This brochure can be given to new Professional Staff hires so that they better understand the purpose of the senate. The second brochure describes the new Mentoring Program. Lin asked that the senators take a look at the brochures and make suggestions to improve their content.
Search Committees – Several members have received both positive and negative comments about the role of the Human Resources Department on campus search committees. There seems to be some uncertainty about what HR’s role on search committees is. HR seems more involved on some searches than on others. Dave will contact HR Director Cheryl Waddington to find out what policy is in place regarding HR role in search committees.
Meeting adjourned. The next meeting will be Wednesday, November 2nd, in
the Bluestem Room.
Respectfully submitted,
Dave Graber for
Kevin Halle
