Professional Staff Senate Meeting Minutes
February 1st, 2007
Call to order:
Derek Anderson, Chair, called the meeting to order at 2:05 p.m.; a quorum was present.
Attendance:
Senators present: Mary Carstens, Derek Anderson, Lin Brummels, Marcus Schlichter, Bev Buhrman, Kevin Halle Absent: Loren Kucera, Brooke Brendenburg

Approval of minutes:
January meeting minutes were approved accordingly.
Committee Reports:
- Mentoring: Lin Brummels – No Report
- Social: Mary Carstens - Professional Staff Spring Pot-Luck March 7th at 11:30 at the Upper Deck in the lower food court. An announcement will be sent out soon.
- Recognition: Derek Anderson – No Report
- Continuing Ed: Kevin Halle - No Report
- Membership: Loren Kucera - No Report
- Hospitality: Bev Buhrman – She has sent cards to Marilyn Quance (Leidorff) – Congratulatory and a sympathy card to President & Mrs. Collings

The Professional Staff Recognition form is finished and is posted on the PSS Website . The nomination deadline is March 1st. If someone you know serves WSC in a Professional Staff position and you would like to recognize them for their work, nominate them for the Professional Staff of the semester.
Saturday February 17th, 2007 – will be Professional Staff night at a Wildcat Basketball game. Free Admission for Spouses/Guest of any WSC professional Staff member. Details will be sent to all members.
Adjournment:
Next meeting will be Thursday March 1st @ 2:00 pm in the Bluestem Room in the Student Center. All Wayne State College Professional Staff members are welcome to attend.
