Greetings! I am “Big” Joel Janecek and I am a junior transfer student originally from Dodge, NE.

A few things you need to know about me are that I am very important. I have many leather bound books, and my dorm room smells of rich mahogany.

As you may have already guessed, I am a Broadcast Communication and Journalism double major. I am most interested to do sports broadcasting and am glad I am able to have an opportunity to do so here at Wayne State.

Speaking of sports, I am a loyal supporter of the Nebraska Cornhuskers, Oregon State Beavers, Green Bay Packers, New York Yankees, Phoenix Coyotes and, of course, the Wayne State Wildcats, respectively. Other than sports, I have a deep interest in movies and finally broke the 200 mark in my DVD collection.

You can listen to me every Sunday and Monday night from 6:00-8:00 p.m. and every Saturday afternoon from 2:00-4:00 p.m. (when we are not covering a athletic event). I also currently provide color commentary for the college football games and plan to cover more sporting events alongside many other members of The Cat.
